WELL DONE GIRLS!
Congratulations to our 4th class soccer team who won the FAI Futsai Soccer Tournament last Friday!
YOGA
We love our YOGA classes in St Clares!
Check out what Ella from 5th class has to say about her yoga class!
Yoga
On Monday the third of November 2014 my class and I did yoga. We did it for half an hour and it was great fun. We lay on mats and breathed in and out to it. There were candles lit and they smelt lovely. We did a bridge position on our mats. A bridge position is where you put your hands back on the mat and bend over your back. When we did the bridge position we could feel it in our legs and back. We also had to lie down on the mats and try and get up without bending our knees. Did you know that from a new born baby to any age can do yoga? So everyone in the world can do yoga. The class loved yoga because it’s a relaxing time for you and it’s also very good for the body. We can’t wait to do it again!

Show Racism the Red Card
Fifth Classes had a very interesting talk about racism in sport. They became
news reporters and sports players and held a conference about how to deal with
racism. They all agree it's time to show racism the red card.
A big thank you to Tom Mohan, FAI for facilitating this
event!

SKIPPING WORKSHOP
For 1st and 2nd Classes
Friday 26th September
The aim of the workshop is to introduce children and teachers to the world of skipping. Skipping is a terrific form of exercise that helps a child’s agility, balance, hand-eye co-ordination and can increase speed through footwork. It teaches children about rhythm and when put into team routines, it provides them with team work skills and encourages them to have confidence in their sporting ability. It is a great way to exercise, maintain good health while having lots of fun.
